I've tested many of these configurations in both Windows 7 and Windows 10 now, neither works with gamepads to reset the idle timer for RL.Ĥ. This includes Keyboard2Xinput (which is awesome), and x360ce, vjoy, etc using either Dinput or Xinput.ģ. No gamepad software solution I've found resets RL's approach to idle timer either. None have work to reset the idle timer with either Dinput or Xinput.Ģ. I've tested 3 different type of direct gamepad encoders including Apac, Brooks, and some cheapie knock offs. I've had my PC machines home for awhile and have been able to do more testing around this:ġ. Would be nice to have this functionality. Then I came on here and did a search and found this thread Would be helpful to save others from going through that. I turned off this option and it fixed my problem. After about the 6th time and looking through logs it finally clicked that this was happening after exactly 5 minutes every time. So tonight I was playing some games and the emulator kept crashing on me.or so it seemed. I'm a bit overcautious since I'm playing on a plasma. I've walked away from a paused game for an extended time forgetting the game was on, so I figured I would turn this on as a safety net so that it went back to the front end with screen saver-like capabilities. I'm using an Xbox 360 controller and recently enabled this option set for 5 minutes. I spent a good 2-3 hours troubleshooting this problem not knowing it was a known issue that was years old Might I suggest until this issue gets sorted out you add some detail to the "Information" bubble next to the "Emulator Idle Shutdown" option that states that it only works for keyboard input and not gamepads. If so, I can definitely give that a whirl myself and see what happens. Just ran a search through all the scripts in Rocketlauncher folder line 923 in shared.ahk found another in fade.ahk but i doubt it'll do anything Would it be as simple as modifying this here that jfp found in the hyperspin thread from A TimeIdlePhysical to A TimeIdle: The rocketlauncher idletimer by default doesn't work with vjoy+x360ce because you need to block used vjoy key inputs when in use, otherwise you get some very undesirable and strange joystick and keyboard behavior (beyond double inputs that I've found). What controller you're actually using might help diagnose things here, but I'd also be surprised if x360ce wasn't already able to load the proper profile for the controller, and it's just matter of getting x360ce to generate the correct files.That's correct, I do have an apac (actual gamepad encoder) I have if there's interest in testing that. Or mess with some of the other selections in the same area (I think - not at a Windows computer at the moment to be able to check the program). If it doesn't work at first, try having it generate one of the other DLLs - xinput1\_3.dll, xinput1\_2.dll, xinput1\_1.dll, or xinput9\_1\_0.dll - via the settings in x360ce. I'm certain I had Super Meat Boy (and I think Dark Souls 1 as well) working just fine with my generic controller (a Nyko AirFlo, which I didn't even know had its own software until just now). I never had any trouble with Super Meat Boy - I think the only one I personally had trouble (read: it was impossible) with was the first season of The Walking Dead, because the devs called the library in a strange way.
